Sara Mason, PA-C

Sara Mason, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), who earned a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center – UNMC. She was trained to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication for a variety of illnesses. Sara was the only student in her class that entered PA school with the intent to practice in Psychiatry.

Sara completed additional Psychiatry and Neurology rotations during her training, including one here at Meridian Mental Health, where she was impressed with the genuine staff and friendly atmosphere. Since joining the practice, Sara has gained experience working with adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, autism, and substance abuse disorders.

Prior to attending UNMC, she graduated with Honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology. While attending UNL, she worked as a research assistant in both the Behavioral Genetics Lab and the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior. She has also worked at Boys Town’s Residential Treatment Center as a Behavioral Health Technician.

Sara is extremely easy to talk to. I do not find that with a lot of people. I have never really gotten that bond with another psychiatrist, but I feel that way with her. I click with her. She takes into consideration my feedback and she is easy to work with. She listens to what I have to say, and we work well together.
